Circulation, filtration and heating are taken care of by the spa manufacturer. Test kits for water balance are available from your dealer. But the day-in, day-out sanitation of your water is up to you. High temperatures and small water volumes create large amounts of non-living bather waste.
Keeping the water clean, safe and appealing is a snap with an BlueForce O3 Ozone generator. Ozone, injected as the spa runs on its filter/heat cycle and a small amount of Chlorine (or bromine), added after usage, does the sanitation job simply and easily.
Ozone - The Automatic Water Cleaner
Did you know that one spa bather introduces twenty times the waste of one swimmer in a pool? Pretty significant considering the small water volume. This ‘loading’ of the water occurs because spa water temperature is set above body temperature at 100 to 104Ëš F. Ninety percent of the work in cleaning (sanitizing) spa water is removing these non-living bather wastes.
Ozone, produced by a BlueForce O3 Ozone generator, breaks down or alters non-living bather wastes through a process called ‘Oxidation’. When the filter heater pump is running, Ozone is bubbled in and ‘automatically’ cleans these wastes from the water. Once this Oxidation work is done, Ozone (O3) reverts to Oxygen (O2) leaving nothing behind in the water except Nature Fresh, spa water.

Spa Ozone Detection Kits
The importance of an ozone generator in maintaining a spa often goes unnoticed by homeowners. Even when it seems to be running, there's no easy way for spa owners to know when it's time to replace their ozone generator.
That's why we're proud to offer an affordable solution: the Spa Ozone Detection Kit. This kit provides a simple method to detect ozone in the output stream from the ozone generator. While it doesn't measure the exact amount of ozone present, it offers a visual indicator by changing color from blue to white.
By observing the speed and extent of the indicator material bleaching, spa owners can determine if their unit is producing an effective level of ozone. It's a practical tool for ensuring spa maintenance remains efficient and hassle-free.
